The Mist - by Frank Darabont, 2007 - is a very good horror movie for many reasons I won't tell, but you can find them easily on your own by watching it. Please don't confuse it with The Fog, which is a very boring teen horror film.

The movie - like this one and this other from the same Director - is an adaptation from a Stephen King's novel. The result is not as THIS, but I'm sure that King didn't care, considering what he thought about it.

The Mist - di Frank Darabont, 2007 - è un ottimo film horror per tante ottime ragioni che non vi dirò, ma che potrete facilmente scoprire da soli vedendolo. Non confondetelo con The Fog, però, che è un filmetto noioso ed inutile. Nello scambio ci perdereste.

Anche questo film - come già prima questo e quest'altro, sempre dello stesso regista - è un adattamento di un racconto di Stephen King. Ora, il risultato non è certo QUESTO, ma non credo che King se ne avrà a male, considerato cosa ne pensava.

Questa settimana andrà in scena Lucca Comics 2011. Stavolta non ci sarò, nemmeno di passaggio, - troppo lavoro, troppo poco tempo - ma alcuni cari amici sì, ed hanno deciso di esserci in grande stile, con un libro lussuoso ed autoprodotto - e non accade spesso che queste due parole si trovino a braccetto - dal titolo

Some movies just tell a story. Some others are movies that, like Chinese boxes, can tell more stories simultaneously, micro and macrocosmos intersecting to give a glimpse of ridiculous, poignant and raw humanity. Memories of Murder (2003), by Bong Joon-ho, is one of the latter, and therefore deserves to be seen again and again. (videotrailer HERE)

Ci sono film che raccontano una storia e ci sono film che, come scatole Cinesi, riescono a raccontare più storie contemporaneamente, micro e macrocosmi che si intersecano per dare uno spaccato di ridicola, struggente e cruda umanità. Black Swan is an incredibly sophisticated and intense film. Beautiful to see it alone, even more if compared with The Wrestler, former movie from the same director. Very reccomended.

Coeur de Papier ( by Me and Bruno Enna ) has been officially selected for two awards in two different Festivals: the 27° Festival de Blois and the Festival of Angouleme 2011, both for the section Jeunesse. Among the other artists selected for Angouleme, there are two more Italians whose work I really like: Manuel Fior and Antonello Dalena. If you don't know them, hurry up and have a look at their sites.

Coeur de Papier è entrato in lizza per due premi in altrettanti Festivals francesi: il 27° Festival de Blois e l'edizione 2011 del Festival di Angouleme, entrambi nella sezione Jeunesse. Tra gli altri artisti selezionati per quest'ultimo, ci tengo a far notare altri due Italiani il cui lavoro apprezzo molto: Manuel Fior ed Antonello Dalena. Se non conoscete i loro splendidi lavori, correte a vederli!

The Suspicions of Mr Whicher or The Murder at Road Hill House - Kate Summerscale, 2008 Bloomsbury - is one of the most interesting books I took lately.
It's a detective story about a real murder that took place in 1860 and whose solution hanged on the public opinion for years.
It's the story of how detective stories came on literature and how this crime and its protagonists inspired great writers as Charles Dickens and, later on, Arthur Conan Doyle.
It's a very interesting historical document of that time, the Victorian Age, wich always impressed me for all its contraddictions.

The sketch just above has been inspired by all of this.

Omicidio a Road Hill House ovvero Invenzione e Rovina di un Detective - Kate Summerscale, 2009 Einaudi - è uno dei libri più interessanti che mi sia capitato di leggere ultimamente. Uno di quei libri che trovi non appena entri in libreria, sullo scaffale Consigliati dal Libraio, per un breve periodo e che poi finiscono di costa in qualche angolo buio e non incrocerai più, a meno di non cercarlo appositamente.
E' innanzitutto un Giallo. La struttura è quella di una detective story che ricostruisce le fila di un reale omicidio avvenuto nel Wiltshire - Inghilterra - nel 1860, la cui soluzione terrà morbosamente attaccato il popolo inglese per molti anni a venire.
E' poi la storia delle detective stories e di come questo caso e i suoi protagonisti abbiano influenzato scrittori del calibro di Charles Dickens e, in seguito, Arthur Conan Doyle, e in definitiva abbia dato vita ad un genere letterario.
Infine è un spaccato di un'epoca, quella Vittoriana, che ancora un volta sorprende per le sue contraddizioni. Su internet ci sono recensioni belle, precise e dettagliate. Ma ve le sconsiglio: dicono troppo. Il libro, invece, ve lo consiglio davvero.

Il disegno qui sopra è stato ispirato da tutto ciò.

In June has been released the Daffodil hardcover edition by Marvel, collecting the first three issues. For me this is the best edition out so far of this book. The price is a bit high - 25$ looks quite a lot! - but the quality of printing really deserve it.

A giugno è uscita l'edizione hardcover della Marvel di Daffodil, che raccoglie i primi tre episodi già usciti in softcover. Questa è, per me, l'edizione meglio riuscita finora. Il prezzo è un pò alto - 25$ sono tanti! - ma la qualità di stampa lo giustifica appieno.

Yesterday Josè Saramago died in his house in Lanzarote - Canary Islands. In 1998 he received the Nobel Prize for Literature. His books are some of the ones that impressed me more in the latest few years, starting from The Gospel According to Jesus Christ (O Evangelho Segundo Jesus Cristo - 1991) to Blindness (Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira - 1995) and Cain (Caim - 2009), his last one.

Ieri Josè Saramago è morto nella sua casa a Lanzarote - Isole Canarie. Nel 1998 aveva ricevuto il premio Nobel per la letteratura. I suoi libri sono tra quelli che mi hanno più colpito, emozionato e fatto riflettere negli ultimi anni, a partire da Il Vangelo Secondo Gesù Cristo (O Evangelho Segundo Jesus Cristo - 1991), passando per Cecità (Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira - 1995) e Caino (Caim - 2009), l'ultimo che ha scritto. In Cecità uno dei personaggi principali diceva:

Secondo me non siamo diventati ciechi, secondo me lo siamo, Ciechi che vedono, Ciechi che, pur vedendo, non vedono.

Ora, oltre che ciechi, siamo diventati anche più poveri.

Travelled a lot lately, for job and for fun. I've been to lot of festivals in beautiful places, such as Ajaccio, Nice (where I had lunch in the Vieux Nice) and Lyon (where I walked trough the traboules going up and down in the ancient town) . In Ajaccio Coeur de Papier won an award as Best Fantasy Book. Thank you! I also say thank you to all those people who came for a sketch and share a few words.
These are some of the other artists I've met during those Festivals: the two italians Paolo Bisi (it was his first french Festival ever!) and Antonio "Sualzo" Vincenti, Tony Sandoval (who showed me some original pages from his next book, and they were plenty of poetry), Ciro Tota , Mateo Guerrero. If you don't know them, hurry up and have a look!

Ho viaggiato molto ultimamente, per lavoro e divertimento. Sono stato in diversi Festivals in bellissime città, come Ajaccio, Nizza (dove ho pranzato nella stupenda città vecchia) e Lione (dove ho passeggiato per le traboules che attraversano il centro storico). Al Festival di Ajaccio Coeur de Papier ha ricevuto un premio come Miglior Fumetto Fantasy. Grazie mille! Ringrazio anche tutti coloro che si sono fermati per una dedica e per scambiare quattro chiacchere.
Questi sono solo alcuni dei disegnatori che ho incotrato lungo la via: i due italianissimi Paolo Bisi (al suo primo Festival in terra di Francia) e Antonio "Sualzo" Vincenti, Tony Sandoval ( che mi ha mostrato sottobanco alcune tavole originali colorate ad acquerello del suo prossimo libro, malinconiche e cariche di poesia), Ciro Tota, Mateo Guerrero. Se non conoscete i loro lavori, correte a guardarli!

I did this sketch a few days ago in London. The Mayflower is an ancient Pub, founded in 1799, along the river Thames. In front of it there was a dock from where the famous ship sailed. Really a nice place to have an beer and a lovely view of the river.

Ho fatto questo sketch pochi giorni fa, a Londra. Il Mayflower è un antico English Pub, fondato nel 1799, lungo il Tamigi. Da quel punto, tempo addietro, salpò la famosa nave diretta verso gli Stati Uniti. Davvero un bel posto per godersi una birra ed una stupenda vista del fiume.

I did this sketch for a Disney Fan and then turned it into colour. It's 4 or 5 years now I'm not drawing this character anymore!

Ho realizzato questo bozzetto per un Fan Disney che me lo ha richiesto, e poi l'ho colorato. Sono 4 o 5 anni che non disegno più questi personaggi!

I did these sketches after Bruno Enna told me by phone his toughts about how the story should start. Then, when the script was done, I cracked on the pages keeping only some passages. Guess this preliminar work was very useful!

Ho realizzato queste bozze dopo che Bruno Enna mi espresse per telefono delle idee che gli ronzavano in testa su come far iniziare la storia. Solo alcune di queste inquadrature mi sono poi servite per realizzare le tavole finali, ma è stato comunque un lavoro molto utile!

Just want to add the trailer of The Secret of Kells (2009), an Irish-Belgian-French animated feature film by Cartoon-Saloon. Didn't see it yet, but it looks really interesting. Love the use of colours and textures. It reminds those animation movies I used to see when I was a child!

Just readed a short book by Juan Antonio Gaya Nuño (1913-1976) , entitled "The Horrifying Story of the Skull of Goya". The book was about Francisco Goya y Lucientes - one of the greatest spanish artists ever - who died in Bordeaux, France in 1828. His body lied nearly forgotten in the Bordeaux cemetery for years and then moved to Madrid. When the body was exhumed, the skull was missing. This book is the story of that skull, between enquiry and legend. After reading it I remembered what Goya expressed in one of his etchings : ''El sueño de la razón produce monstruos - (The sleep of reason brings forth monsters)'' (- capricho n° 43, done in 1797 -).
This illustration is the result.

Ho letto di recente un breve libro di Juan Antonio Gaya Nuño (1913-1976), intitolato "La Orripilante Storia del Teschio di Goya". Francisco Goya y Lucientes , uno dei più grandi artisti spagnoli di sempre, morì a Bordeaux, in Francia, nel 1828. Il suo corpo rimase sepolto nel cimitero della città per anni e poi spostato, dopo diverse peripezie, nella chiesa di San Antonio de la Florida, a Madrid. Alla riesumazione dello scheletro, però, si scoprì che il teschio mancava. Il libro, come si può intuire già dal titolo, dà una spiegazione a questo misterioso trafugamento, tra indagine storica e leggenda. Dopo averlo letto ho ripensato ad un'idea espressa da Goya in una delle sue acqueforti: ''El sueño de la razón produce monstruos - (Il sonno della ragione genera mostri)'' (- capricho n° 43, realizzata nel 1797 -).
L'illustrazione qui sopra è il risultato.

Today a couple of friends came for lunch and gave me an handmade pop up page of Il Teatrino delle Bambole Morte - it's not out yet outside Italy, but one day it will. It's beatifully done. I'm just back from the Festival of Aix en Provence and it has been great. The town is beautiful, I did a lot of sketches and signatures (thank you all!), I've met old friends and new ones, like Ciou and Jeremie Almanza (if you don't know them, go and have a look at their artworks!).

Sono appena tornato dal Festival di Aix en Provence, ed è stato bellissimo. La città è magnifica, ho fatto un sacco di dediche, ho incontrato vecchi amici e ne ho conosciuti di nuovi, come Ciou e Jeremie Almanza (se non conoscete i loro lavori, correte a vederli!).

This artwork I did was with no reason too. But, looking for a pic of an old phonograph, I found this story I didn't know.

Anche questa illustrazione è senza ragione alcuna. Però, cercando qualche immagine di vecchi grammofoni, mi sono imbattuto in una storia che non conoscevo e mi ha colpito.

HMV ( His Master's Voice ) was founded in 1899 and been famous for producing vinyls of the most important classic and opera singers in early '900. It's brand represent a Jack Russell Terrier listening to a gramophone the incided voice of his dead master. The artist who did the portrait was Francis Barraud and the dead master was his brother, Mark. I found all this really struggling!

HMV ( His Master's Voice - in Italia conosciuta come La Voce del Padrone ) è un'etichetta discografica fondata nel 1899 e divenuta poi famosa all'inizio del '900 per aver inciso sonate, balletti ed opere liriche tra le più importanti del suo tempo. Il suo marchio ritrae un Jack Russell Terrier - un cane, per i profani - che ascolta attraverso la tromba di un grammofono la voce incisa su cilindri del suo padrone morto. L'artista che ha realizzato l'opera è il londinese Francis Barraud, e il padrone morto di cui il cane ascolta la voce era suo fratello Mark. Trovo la storia e il dipinto molto commoventi!

ALICE IN WONDERLAND - updated

Last year I've been asked by The Walt Disney Company Italy to make a proposition of style for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland Graphic Novel. These sketches were the result.

L'anno scorso Disney Italia mi chiese di fare una proposta di stile per la Graphic Novel di Alice in Wonderland, tratta dal film di Tim Burton. Questi bozzetti furono il risultato.

They asked the same also to two more artists and friends: Anna Merli and Massimiliano Narciso. We did the at the same time without seeing each other's work and then they choosed which one would fit better for that project.

Chiesero lo stesso a due altri disegnatori e miei cari amici: Anna Merli e Massimiliano Narciso. Lavorammo contemporaneamente senza vedere i rispettivi risultati e scelsero poi qualche dei tre diversi stili si adattasse meglio al progetto.

HERE you can see some of Anna Merli wonderful artworks. Soon she will be out in libraries with a new book called END, written by Barbara Canepa for the Métamorphose Collection.

HERE, HERE and HERE you may find some of Massimiliano's Artworks, who finally did the Alice's adaptation. He moves from sculptures to drawings and he made, teamed up with Alessandro Ferrari for the script, this Graphic Novel really great.

QUI, QUI e QUI potete invece trovare alcuni dei lavori di Max, l'artista che infine ha realizzato l'adattamento di Alice. Si divide tra i suoi bellissimi canapazzi ed il fumetto, e i suoi disegni hanno reso, coadiuvati dall'ottimo lavoro di sceneggiatura di Alessandro Ferrari, questa Graphic Novel una delle più riuscite e interessanti sinora nel suo ambito.

Pages for GOTHIC LOLITA are nearly finished and soon the second and final book will be started. It's two years we're working on it now!
Don't know yet when it will be published - this year, I guess - but I already know the second issue will be out just next to the first one.

First of all let's speak about COEUR DE PAPIER! This is the final cover art and just below you can see another page from the book. Just to remind, script is by Bruno Enna - who is now working on another great new project teamed up with Clèment Lefèvre!!! - and colours are by Studio Blinq!
For who is interested the book is already available in pre-order at the Fnac website HERE!
The first issue of three will be out in France in a few weeks, for the Festival of Angouleme. I'll be there at Soleil's stand for signing copies from january, 29th until 31th. See you there!

Since today is finally out in US the first issue of DAFFODIL! (finally I've got my copies!)
The variant cover was at first the back cover of the french edition. Not bad at all!

La variant cover era originariamente la quarta di copertina della serie originale francese, e quasi la preferisco alla copertina normale!

This serie represent my first experience with French comicbook's market and, after two different editions in Italy and one in Spain, is going to be published by Marvel. And that makes me really proud!

Questa serie rappresenta la mia prima esperienza nel mercato del fumetto francese e, dopo due edizioni in Francia, due in Italia ed una in Spagna, viene pubblicato da Marvel. Che sfizio!

This the original cover art of the first french edition. As you may see artwork for this first book is a bit more animation-like.
What makes this story a bit peculiar is that I used different artwork styles for each of the three issues of the serie as if it was done by different artists!

Questa è la cover della prima edizione francese. Come si può notare il disegno del primo libro è leggermente cartoon - sicuramente influenzato dai miei trascorsi Disneyani.
Ciò che rende questa serie peculiare è l'uso che ho fatto di tre differenti stili per ognuno dei libri, come se fosse realizzato da tre diversi disegnatori!

WEXWORLDS 2009 - Sci-Fi and Fantasy Fiction Festival

For this Festival's edition there will be a brand new special release titled THE LAST CRUSADER - Through Water and Fire, a free limited edition 8 page comic book written by Eoin Colfer (pronounced Owen! - patron of the Festival and resident of Wexford) & Andrew Donkin, drawed by me, coloured by Paolo Lamanna and lettered by Chris Dickey from Creative Giant. Quella che abbiamo intenzione di raccontarvi non è solo una storia che parla di Bambini Particolari, ma è anche una storia che parla di Vecchie Case.

What we’re going to tell is not only a story speaking about Peculiar Children, but also a story about Ancient Manors.

Vecchie Case molto MINACCIOSE, ovviamente.

Ancient Manors very MENACING, of course.

Parliamo di luoghi perlopiù abitati da ombre, o comunque da persone che oramai hanno consumato gran parte della loro anima, nel bene o nel male. Persone anziane, spesso avide di vita, che col tempo sono diventate egoiste e sempre più AFFAMATE.

We deal about places mostly resided by shadows, or by people who now have consumed big part of their soul, for better or worse. Old people, often greedy of life, who became selfish and HUNGRY more and more.

Queste Vecchie Case hanno delle caratteristiche riconoscibili: sono piene di oggetti affascinanti, di presenze inquietanti, di respiri stantii, di rumori notturni, di gelidi refoli, di scale scricchiolanti e di porte chiuse a doppia mandata.

These Ancient Manors are recognizable for some peculiarities: they’re full of misterious objects, disturbing presences, stale breath, night noises, icy gusts, creaking stairs and double locked doors.

In certi corridoi, gli spettri sono talmente numerosi che al nostro passaggio si squarciano come ragnatele sulla faccia.

In some corridors, spectra are so many that they rip themselves as we passed like cobwebs on the face.

Nel giardino, in bella mostra sugli alti muri di cinta, i rovi salgono e scendono alla ricerca di carni da graffiare.

In the garden, on display on high walls, the thorns go up and down in search of meat to scratch.

All’interno delle pareti, talvolta scivolano lunghi serpenti metallici che spiano, annusano e sibilano, alitando cattivi odori.

Inside the walls, sometimes metallic snakes slide down and peep and smell and hiss, breathing bad odors.

E gli orologi... in queste Vecchie Case, gli orologi sono enormi polmoni meccanici che scandiscono il giorno e la notte, accelerando quando necessario, per dimezzare le ore di luce in favore del buio.

And the clocks ... in these Ancient Manors, clocks are huge mechanical lungs that beat the day and the night, accelerating when needed to halve the hours of light in favor of the dark.

In questi luoghi, gli oggetti sono creature che respirano e gli ambienti sono mondi da attraversare con il cuore in gola.

In these places, objects are breathing creatures and environments are worlds to get through with heart beating in throat.

In the story we’re going to introduce, therefore, we won’t talk about unnecessary Cozy Homes and places that want to look nice, but only about places so awkward as sincere, that whisper ancient and painful memories.

These Ancient Manors are certainly not suitable for children; yet in our story, one has just the pleasure of host many of them.

Finalmente è arrivato il momento di mostrare qualche immagine di uno dei miei nuovi progetti, Coeur de Papier (Cuore di Carta).

Questo sarà il primo numero in una serie di tre, scritta da Bruno Enna, messa in colore da Studio Blinq e pubblicata da Soleil Productions – in Francia – nella collana Métamorphose, diretta da Barbara Canepa & Clotilde Vu. Il primo libro uscirà in gennaio, per il Festival d'Angoulême.

Finally I can show you some pics of one of my new project, Coeur de Papier (Paper Heart).

This will be the first issue in a serie of three, written by Bruno Enna, coloured by Studio Blinq and published by Soleil Productions – in France - in the Métamorphose collection, directed by Barbara Canepa & Clotilde Vu. The first book will be out in january for the Angoulême Festival.

Bruno è uno degli sceneggiatori italiani che più stimo in assoluto, e non credo abbia bisogno di grandi presentazioni. Basti sapere che ha lavorato per le più importanti case editrici del nostro Paese. Questo è il suo primo progetto per la Francia, e sono convinto che non sarà l’unico!

Bruno is one of my favourite italian comicbook writers, so – of course – it’s a real pleasure to work with him. He worked for all the best italian publishers. This is his first project out in France, and I’m sure it won’t be the only one!

Dunque, come iniziare? Con un annuncio? Un comunicato stampa? No, meglio iniziare con un AVVERTIMENTO...

Well, how could we start? With an announce? With a press release? No, it’s much better starting with a WARNING...

Quella che abbiamo intenzione di raccontarvi non è una storia per Bambini Qualsiasi.

What we want to tell is not a story for Any Children.

Le storie per Bambini Qualsiasi parlano di bambini buoni e Crystal (Kriss) Bottomwine non è buono. Lui è viziato, scontroso, a volte un po’ antipatico e fin troppo curioso. Difficile fare amicizia con lui. Ancora più difficile sentirsi COME lui.

Stories for Any Children are about good children and Crystal (Kriss) Bottomwine is not a good one. He’s spoilt, grumpy, sometimes a bit antipathetic and much too curious. Really hard to socialize with. Much harder try to feel AS he feels.

Non solo: nelle storie per Bambini Qualsiasi, se si parla della morte lo si fa alla lontana, magari usando raffinate metafore. La morte è un’entità astratta, un evento imperscrutabile, una semplice e serena mancanza. Nella storia che vogliamo raccontarvi, invece, la morte pesa quanto una bara piena. Si respira, aleggia tra le stanze della Casa, in mezzo ai discorsi sommessi dei suoi piccoli ospiti, oppure fa capolino attraverso le finestrelle smerigliate che separano la Sala Comune dal Giardino Uggioso.

Not only: in Any Children’s stories, when you speak about death you do it from distance, maybe using sophisticated methaphors. Death is an abstract entity, an inscrutable event, a simple and serene absence. In the story we’re going to tell, instead, death weights like a full coffin. You can breath it blowing gently over the House’s rooms, between the subdued speeches of its little guests, or peeking over the small frosted windows which part the Big Hall from the Dull Garden.

Infine (e QUESTA è la vera differenza con la storia che vogliamo raccontarvi), nelle storie per Bambini Qualsiasi, tutto... finisce... bene.

Then (and THIS is the real difference in the story we are going to tell), in Any Children’s stories, there is... an happy... ending.

Non aspettavi, dunque, una storia per Bambini Qualsiasi. Non date assolutamente questa storia in mano a vostro figlio. Sarebbe come affidargli un paio di forbici e poi chiedergli di correre per la stanza, oppure regalargli un pezzo di fil di ferro e indicargli una presa elettrica. Siete avvertiti. Noi mettiamo le mani avanti. Decliniamo ogni responsabilità.

Don’t expect, so, an Any Children story. Don’t put absolutely this story in your son’s hands. It would be as entrusting him a pair of scissors and then asking to run over the room, or giving him a wire and pointing out at the electrical terminal. You’re warned. We disclaim any responsibility.

Tuttavia, quella che vogliamo raccontarvi È una storia per bambini.
Bambini particolari, s’intende.

However, what we’re going to tell IS still a story for children.
Peculiar children, of course.

Bambini che guardano i telegiornali in attesa di qualche buona notizia, che sperano nell’amicizia malgrado tutto, che scavano alla ricerca di piccoli tesori nascosti nella memoria, che leggono fumetti senza smontarli come giocattoli consumati.

Children who look at the television waiting for some good news, who believe in friendship despite all, who dig deep looking for all those little treasures hidden in their memory, who read comicbooks without dismantling them as old toys.

Se siete QUESTO tipo di bambini, qualsiasi sia la vostra età, allora mettetevi comodi. E ricordate: prima di entrare in un mondo nuovo, pulitevi sempre i piedi.

If you’re THIS kind of children, no matter how old you are, please take a seat. And remember: before entering in a new world, you'd better clean up your feet.

grande soddisfazione: questo lo stato d’animo di tutti i componenti del Comitato “No al pozzo nel Parco del Curone” dopo la notizia della rinuncia di Po Valley.
I messaggi scambiati in queste ore sono di grande soddisfazione per l’archiviazione della pratica “Bernaga” della società Po Valley relativa alla richiesta di realizzazioni di pozzi esplorativi finalizzati alla ricerca di idrocarburi nel nostro territorio. E’ un risultato di matrice “collettiva”, al quale hanno contribuito tutti, amministrazioni, associazioni, politici, comitato civico e soprattutto tanti tantissimi cittadini: la consapevolezza delle persone e la posizione unanime delle amministrazioni sulla contrarietà alla ricerca di idrocarburi nella Brianza Lecchese sono risorse che questa esperienza di opposizione ragionata, ma anche determinata, ha generato e che ci aiuterà nel portare avanti l’idea di uno sviluppo economico del territorio compatibile con la sua struttura ambientale e sociale.

LA DISOBBEDIENZA

Tempo fa lessi un articolo che faceva riferimento ad un libro, che a sua volta analizzava degli studi relativi a degli esperimenti di sociologia. Questo giusto per citare le fonti e per rispolverare la mai troppo osannata pratica di acculturarsi tramite i riassunti.

Ciò che mi colpì di quell'articolo è il concetto che andrò qui a riassumere ulteriormente:

l'obbediente, in forza del proprio ruolo, può farsi tramite delle gesta più abominevoli senza che queste gravino sulla propria coscienza, mentre il disobbediente, per contro, tenderebbe a porsi in maniera critica rispetto a tutte le imposizioni, considerando gli effetti derivanti da tali imposizioni frutto, comunque, del proprio operato.

Questo concetto è tanto palese, con tutti i limiti derivanti dalle generalizzazioni, quanto scioccante nella sua semplicità e credo meriti più di una riflessione.

Per chi volesse ulteriori spunti sul tema delle dinamiche di gruppo, mi sento di consigliare il film "The Experiment" ( Germania, 2001 ), che mette in scena un reale esperimento avvenuto nel 1971 ( Esperimento carcerario di Stanford ).

In october, for Lucca comics and games Festival, will be officially presented the book "IL TEATRINO DELLE BAMBOLE MORTE" ( "DEAD DOLLS' PARADE" ).

Questo progetto, da me disegnato su testi di Davide Barzi, è una raccolta di filastrocche gotiche&dark ispirate al mondo delle favole, della mitologia ed al Periodo Vittoriano, rivisti in chiave moderna. E' una sperimentazione che abbraccia tre anni di lavoro discontinuo e che vedrà luce, in Italia per il momento, per le Edizioni BD.

It's a book of illustrated dark/gothic poetry written by Davide Barzi ( I did the art, of course ) which cover a three years period of discontinuos job. To do it we've been inspired by Fables, Mithology and the Victorian Age, revised in a modern way. The book will be published by Edizioni BD for Italy only.

L'edizione paperback mantiene la copertina originale. Questa nuova versione è stata da una delle bellissime cover realizzate per i l'edizione inglese dei libri. I colori sono, ovviamente, del bravissimo Paolo Lamanna.
