MEMORIES OF MURDER

Some movies just tell a story. Some others are movies that, like Chinese boxes, can tell  more stories simultaneously, micro and macrocosmos intersecting to give a glimpse of ridiculous, poignant and raw humanity. Memories of Murder (2003), by Bong Joon-ho, is one of the latter, and therefore deserves to be seen again and again. (videotrailer HERE)

Ci sono film che raccontano una storia e ci sono film che, come scatole Cinesi, riescono a raccontare più storie contemporaneamente, micro e macrocosmi che si intersecano per dare uno spaccato di ridicola, struggente e cruda umanità.
