RACE FOR THE AWARD - Angouleme 2011

Coeur de Papier ( by Me and Bruno Enna ) has been officially selected for two awards in two different Festivals: the 27° Festival de Blois and the Festival of Angouleme 2011, both for the section Jeunesse. Among the other artists selected for Angouleme, there are two more Italians whose work I really like: Manuel Fior and Antonello Dalena. If you don't know them, hurry up and have a look at their sites.
What a hot winter!:)

PS. this artwork is one of the new illustrations I'm doing for Coeur de Papier 02.

... and this is another sketch from the same book!

... e ne aggiungo pure un'altra. Così, per bizzarria!

A DOLL IN THE SKY AND MORE

Barbara Canepa asked me a new hommage to Sky Doll more in line with my recent artstyle used for Coeur de Papier. Here it is. Soon I will post it in colour too.

... and this is a detail.

... ed eccone un dettaglio.
This is a Pic from the Artemis Fowl: the Graphic Novel Exhibition at Seven Stories: The Centre for Children's Books. Open since 2005, they are the first museum in the UK wholly dedicated to the art of children’s books. On July 2010 they opened an exhibition entitled: ‘There’s Nuffin Like a Puffin: 70 Years of Puffin Books’. The exhibition highlights the tremendous diversity of titles published under the Puffin imprint since it was established in 1940 – from Worzel Gummidge to Artemis Fowl. If you want to take a look around...
